Patent illustration
Patent illustrations without waiting for an illustrator
PatentStroke draws the figures for your application from product photos, sketches and claims in minutes. You review every sheet and export it in USPTO format, at a fraction of a drafting service's price.
With PatentStroke
≈ $10
for a 10-figure set with a credit pack
Drafting service
Per sheet
often hundreds of dollars a set, plus days of waiting
From photo to filing-ready sheet in three steps
No CAD skills and no back-and-forth with a drafter. You stay in control of every figure.
- 1
Upload or paste
Add a photo or a hand sketch of your invention, or paste method steps, a method claim or a system description.
- 2
Generate the figure
PatentStroke draws clean black-and-white line art, or lays out a numbered flowchart or block diagram. Adjust the line threshold or regenerate until it looks right.
- 3
Export the sheet set
Add figures to a sheet set. FIG. labels, sheet numbers and USPTO margins are applied for you; export a vector PDF, 300 DPI PNG or SVG.
Examples generated by PatentStroke
Real output, unedited. The sketch was drawn for this example; the diagrams come from short text descriptions.

When PatentStroke fits, and when it does not yet
We would rather you know up front. Many applications can be drawn entirely in PatentStroke; some still need a human drafter.
A good fit
- Utility applications for physical products you can photograph or sketch.
- Method claims that need a flowchart, and systems that need a block diagram.
- Provisional applications, where speed matters more than polish.
- Agents who want a first draft of every figure before fine-tuning it by hand.
Not yet
- Design patents that need six exactly consistent views of the same object.
- Large mechanical assemblies with dozens of reference numerals placed for you.
- Electrical schematics and circuit diagrams.
Unfiled inventions stay private
Specific commitments, each backed by how the service is built.
- Your uploads, prompts and drawings are never used to train AI models, and every AI request is sent with data collection by model providers denied.
- Uploads are not stored. Drawings live in private storage and open only through links that expire after 10 minutes.
- Delete a figure, a sheet set or your whole account at any time. Unsaved results are deleted after 30 days.
