Acceptable Use Policy

What you may and may not do with PatentStroke, and how to report a drawing, a share link or an account that breaks these rules.

Last updated: 2026-10-23

PatentStroke is built for inventors, patent agents and attorneys preparing drawings for their own or their clients' inventions. This policy sets out what is not allowed. It is part of our Terms of Service.

Use material you are allowed to use

  • Upload only photos, sketches and text that you own or are authorized to use. When you upload a photo you confirm that it shows your own invention or one you are authorized to work on.
  • Do not upload someone else's confidential or unpublished material without their permission.
  • Do not use PatentStroke to copy another person's product or drawings in a way that infringes their rights.

Do not use PatentStroke to cause harm

Do not use the Service to:

  • break the law, or help someone else break it;
  • create drawings intended to facilitate serious harm, such as weapons designed to cause mass casualties;
  • prepare filings that you know to be fraudulent or misleading;
  • upload content that is sexual, hateful, harassing, or that exploits minors in any way;
  • spread malware or send spam, including through share links.

Do not abuse the Service

  • One free account per person. Do not create extra accounts, or use throwaway email addresses, to collect free credits.
  • Do not get around limits on credits, rate limits, watermarks or the pre-export check.
  • Do not scrape the Service, overload it, probe it for vulnerabilities without our permission, or try to reach other users' data.
  • Do not resell access to the Service or to your account without our written agreement.

Security researchers: if you find a vulnerability, please tell us at support@patentstroke.com before disclosing it.

Reporting a problem

To report a drawing, a share link or an account that breaks this policy, or content that infringes your rights:

  • on a shared sheet set, use Report this link at the bottom of the page, or
  • email support@patentstroke.com with the subject "Abuse report".

Tell us what you are reporting (for a share link, the full link) and why. For an intellectual-property complaint, also include your contact details, what work you believe is infringed, and a statement that you are the rights holder or are authorized to act for them. We review every report. We do not tell the account owner who reported them unless the law requires it.

What we do

When content or an account breaks this policy we may remove the content, turn off share links, suspend or close the account, and, where required, report it to the authorities. If we close an account by mistake, we restore it.
